We are in the process of scheduling a second webinar through Zoom. I am not an expert on the project, but I'm more familiar than most, with the Motus supplementary policies. Today, at noon, Motus (the insurance company making individual insurance policies for earthquake insurance available to individual unit owners based on their desired coverage) will conduct its first seminar on buying individual unit earthquake insurance. Each unit owner can buy their own earthquake insurance to supplement the building's master policies. Tim Miller's first email (September 26th) gives you the link to this webinar, and the phone numbers to call for information, including your individual quotes. This is the first webinar. More will be scheduled soon. Application to Motus has a time window for each unit. We will get more specific on that window when we get it, but the window runs for about a month...likely the end of October.

If you observe a vehicle parked in the yellow zone ouside the ramp to our parking garage (especially one that blocks visibility), or is parked illegally overtime in the passenger loading zones outside our front entrances call, the City of Portland Parking Enforcement Unit at (503) 823-5195. They will ticket or tow the violators...if they get here on time.

To the Vaux community: At the end of May, our Condominium Owners Association (the COA) will be losing Dru Lynch as Board Chairman. Dru is moving to satisfy the needs of his job and career. If things go as currently planned, I will be replacing him…as if anybody could replace him. We will also likely be losing one more board member, leaving us with an opening for a 5th member. The COA Board of Directors must have 5 members. If you have the inclination to help run the Association, maintaining the value of your property, promoting security, and enhancing the general livability of our community, please send a note to Tim Miller at Kin Living or to me, or any other board member to express your interest in applying for the position.
