A few years ago the then ARC Committee settled on a design that is mandatory. My own electronic lock was installed before the ARC took any interest. It's a Trilogy with hardware that is just like doors with ordinary keyed locks, the sort of thing you might see in a Good Sam clinic. Unless a future ARC committee objects, I suppose I will be grandfathered in, but that won't work for you. Look for the smart lock document on our site.

Hi, Ed: Barb and I had a Murphy Bed for years, but eventually replaced it with a modern sleeper sofa. In the past, sofa beds have had the reputation of back-breaking frames, but no more. Ours is a Jonas brand from Dania. Handsome, comfortable, recommended. -- Hal

Hi, Ed: The Barwoods have had a digital lock on our door since 2015, before the standard ARC-approved model was selected. No keys, can't leave your door unlocked, can have multiple combos, for neighbors if you like, and if you're away, you can let someone in, and later change the combo you gave out without a locksmith visitation. I recommend keyless entry! -- Hal

This is a good channel. We do have a page from the developer's original house manual on flooring; it's worth a look, but not what you want. Before refinishing or replacing, take a look at our Unit Alterations page. Changing the uppermost layer of flooring probably gets a free pass, but please be aware of the architectural review requirements for changes that affect electrical or watery conditions or penetrate walls, ceilings, or, yup, floors.
