Hi Vaux neighbors! After the water shut off in the Savier building this week there was air in the water lines. We were advised to run faucets in our units to clear the air and sediment. I’m sharing what happened to me so that if it happens to you in the future you can recognize and fix it easily. The refill tube in my toilet tank got displaced. Air pressure in the water lines might have caused the clip holding the refill tube over the overfill tube to pop off. The loose refill tube sprayed water out of the back of the toilet tank. It’s an easy fix. Just take the tank cover off the tank and clip the refill tube back onto the overfill tube. The refill tube is supposed to direct clean water into the overfill tube to fill the toilet bowl. If it’s displaced the toilet bowl won’t fill properly or might run. It’s probably an uncommon occurrence, but, now you know! Here’s a photo of the inside of my toilet tank with the refill tube properly clipped onto the overfill tube.
