There are three spots open on the Vaux Board of Directors which will be filled at the Annual Community meeting in August. We have three groups of owners here in our community: those who live here full time, those who live here part time, and those who own units they rent out for income. There are several important decisions to be made over the coming year (some of which may trigger special assessments) and I would like to see all the constituencies represented on the board. I'm in the middle of my first term on the board and have found it really eye opening! In the first 13 months I lived here I saw my monthly dues increase almost 30%! This is way out of line with my expectations and experience. I hope we can build a board that can manage our expenses in a way that avoids huge annual increases while maintaining quality of life. The Vaux condominium owner's association is made up of 144 of us. Five board members are elected to represent the interests of the entire group.
