Hello, all: Karin Lysek, our cheerful, energetic, and creative Social Committee chair passed away on Friday, January 29, in Los Angeles while hospitalized for treatment of acute leukemia. She was a warm friend, a strong advocate for strengthening neighborly ties among our residents, and a passionate volunteer on our Landscape Committee. Details are few; perhaps more news will emerge as her family recovers from this terrible blow . . .

Occasionally, especially as the new Vaux-dot-com ramps up, load times can be slow -- especially on older machines, on slow internet connections, and on some browsers. Wix (our Internet Service Provider) and yours truly are doing our best to speed the plow. Meanwhile, maybe you're having trouble and wondering -- which browser is fastest? I've tested our site with several popular browsers and several different machines, and they rank like this: 1. Chrome (fastest by far) 2. Safari (okay -- but not so hot on older iPads) 2. Firefox (slow) 4. Edge (slowest) For now at least, thevaux.com recommends Chrome! All of these browsers are free, but Safari is Apple products only, and Edge is Windows-only.
