Wi-Fi Calling in the Garage

06/17/20 – Our new video surveillance cameras work through cabling and servers that have also given birth to public Wi-Fi in the garage. Just connect to
Vaux WiFi, and you're online; no password needed.
The main purpose of this network is to enable Wi-Fi calling in an environment that prevents cell phone transmissions.
If you think you might want to make such calls, be sure to spend some time configuring your smartphone before you need it. Methods are carrier dependent. If a bad guy accosts you, or a medical emergency disables you, that's no time to be fooling around with device settings. Even then, you must connect to Vaux WiFi for a call to go through, and that connection is not automatic.
