Turnover @ The Vaux

02/21/18 – Life @ The Vaux is always in a slow and continuous transition. This is a trend that accelerated when property values started to recover after the Great Recession. In the past couple of years, for example — 2016 & 2017 — 24 units have changed ownership, resulting in 48 moving events. Several units are on the market right now, as the trend continues into 2018. (NOTE: rental unit churn, not included here, adds to this tally.)

As the years go by, the buildings endure almost unchanged, but people come and go. Owners who bought when the condominiums were new are now outnumbred by newcomers. And yet, we all hope the ties that bind us to The Vaux will also bind us, oldtimers and newcomers alike, together in neighborly good feeling, mutual respect, and a firm purpose to preserve, protect, and improve our common home.
