02/03/15 – Starting next month, The Vaux's location in Northwest Portland will become part of restricted parking ZONE M. After March 1, those residents who wish to park on nearby streets anywhere east of 25th Avenue will need permits hanging from their rear-view mirrors.
Permits come in two varieties — yearly passes that sell for $60 and daily "scratch-off" passes. The former are meant for residents who regularly park on the streets, and the one-timers are good for the occasional guest.
Permits can be purchased at the Multnomah County Library branch on Thurman Street (among other locations). You will need to present proof of residence and vehicle ownership for a yearly pass, but a photo ID is enough for the daily ones.
