No Smoking Referendum

09/08/13 – Smoking has always been prohibited in all common areas of The Vaux. However, current Association bylaws do permit smoking within one's own unit.

Responding to positive results of a survey conducted earlier this year, at its meeting on August 28 the Board of Directors unanimously passed a resolution asking owners to amend the bylaws to prohibit smoking everywhere @ The Vaux, without exception.

Amendments require a favorable vote by 75% of the owners to succeed. Secret ballots have been mailed to each owner by CMI. When you receive yours, please fill it out and return it promptly.

If the amendment passes, The Vaux will join several other condos in Portland that have successfully made the change to a completely non-smoking environment.
